Asphalt driveway replacement
Tear-out and repave when alligator cracking, sinking, or repeat potholes mean the base has failed. The base gets rebuilt, not covered.

Built from the base up
Resurfacing, also called an overlay, lays a new layer of hot-mix asphalt over your existing driveway or lot. It works when the base underneath is still solid but the surface is worn, faded, rough, or cracked. Typically 1.5 to 2 inches of new asphalt goes on, with the edges milled at the garage and street so the new surface meets them cleanly. It costs less than replacement and gives you a new driveway without a tear-out. We resurface across the Main Line and Northern Delaware, including Wayne, Paoli, Berwyn, and Claymont.

Common questions
Typically 10 to 15 years when the base is sound and the surface is maintained.
Slightly. We mill the edges at the garage, sidewalk, and street so the transitions stay flush.
Yes, if the base is sound. Potholes get cut out and patched first. If they're a sign of base failure, we'll recommend replacement instead.
Sealcoating is a thin protective coat. An overlay is a new layer of asphalt. Sealcoat protects a good surface; an overlay replaces a worn one.
